Gorzanów is located by the Nysa Kłodzka river and is almost the geographical centre of Ziemia Kłodzka (Kłodzko Land). It has long been valued as a place of outstanding natural recreation and leisure, and for over 100 years the popularity of the village contributed to the discovery of local mineral springs in the second half of the nineteenth century. Currently there are three plants producing mineral water in Gorzanów, as well as a primary school, railway station (operating since the end of the nineteenth century), public library and mill.
